Active Ingredients

  • Dimethicone is a silicone derivative that does not clog skin pores. This ingredient contains large molecules that can not penetrate the skin but rather form a film on top of your skin. The Cosmetic Ingredient Review Panel has found that dimethicone is safe in concentrations up to 25 %. It gives skin a smooth and hydrated feel.
  • Glycerin is a natural substance derived from vegetable oils or animal fats. It’s a clear, colourless, odourless, syrupy liquid with a sweet taste. A 2016 study showed that glycerin is one of the most potent moisturisers for the skin, becoming even more powerful when combined with hyaluronic acid.
  • Urea is a substance that naturally occurs on the surface of the skin. It is an active part of our Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF), which keeps our skin plump, supple and healthy.
  • Allantoin is a natural product derived from sugar beet, chamomile or wheat sprouts, but it can also be produced in a lab. Allantoin is a gentle and non-irritating anti-inflammatory. On top of that, it is also a moisturiser. This combination makes it ideal for sensitive or irritated skin.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate is derived from hyaluronic acid but is a much smaller molecule. Like hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate is incredibly hydrating. But because it is so small, this form can penetrate deeper into the skin. Due to that, it can hydrate skin from deep within and make it look plumper, more hydrated and radiant.
  • Phytic acid is derived from seeds or nuts. It is a very mild peeling agent to exfoliate and brighten skin. Studies have shown that phytic acid improves skin tone.
  • Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is a very commonly used emollient in skincare products.
  • Tocopherol (Vitamin E) is an antioxidant and helps protect your skin from harmful environmental factors, such as pollution and sun rays. It also helps the skin to produce more collagen. This keeps your skin smooth and bouncy. Vitamin E also helps lock in moisture and keep all skin types happy and hydrated – even dry skin.
  • Ascorbyl Glucoside is a form of Vitamin C that is more stable than the natural Vitamin C. When you apply Vitamin C to your skin, it quickly becomes unstable and is not effective anymore. Due to that, a new form of Vitamin C was developed that lasts longer on the skin.
  • Retinyl palmitate is a fat-soluble form of Vitamin A (retinoid) naturally found in meat, fish oil and eggs. It is slightly less potent than active retinol but, therefore, does not cause irritation or redness of the skin. Applying it to your skin penetrates the deeper layers because it is fat-soluble. This means that it can rehydrate skin from deep within. Vitamin A is also a powerful antioxidant that increases the number of cells in your skin.  On top of that, it stimulates collagen production.  For that reason, retinoids are widely used to treat aging signs, acne and uneven skin texture.
  • Butyrospermum Parkii Butter is the scientific name for Shea Butter. This semi-liquid fat is made out of the Shea tree, which is native to Africa. Shea butter is a trendy ingredient in skincare. A study could prove that it is a potent anti-inflammatory for skin, and another study found that it also deeply moisturises the skin.
  • Hydrolyzed Soy Flour contains isoflavones, strong antioxidants that protect and repair skin. Soy Flour stimulates collagen production and, therefore, improves fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract is a plant extract derived from the liquorice root. It soothes skin and is an anti-inflammatory but it also fades dark spots and uneven pigmentation.
  • Borage Officinalis Extract is the Latin name for the Borage Plant plant, which is very common in Spain. It is prized for its high gamma linoleic acid (GLA) content. This is a fatty acid that helps reduce inflammation in our body and on our skin. Several studies have shown that using borage oil topically has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. That can be beneficial for people with atopic dermatitis.
  • Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein/PVP is a powder derived from wheat through a chemical process called hydrolysis. Wheat protein is a powerful moisturizer.
  • Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract is rosemary. It is a potent anti-inflammatory that reduces puffiness and swelling.  Therefore, it is also quite popular for treating eczema, redness and irritation.
  • Centella Asiatica Extract is derived from a plant known as Gotu Kola. This plant preferably grows in wetlands in several regions, such as the Caucasus and New Zealand. People have used it for many centuries for its healing properties. A study showed that it soothes inflammation of the skin and, at the same time, moisturises the skin.
  • Sunflower seed Oil contains high levels of Omega 3, Omega 6 and vitamin E that have antioxidant properties and protect skin against pollution, UV damage and environmental stressors.
  • Collagen. Starting in our mid-20s, we slowly begin to lose collagen. Women can lose up to 30% of their collagen production in the first five years of menopause. Collagen is often added to high-end skincare products. This is because it replenishes skin and keeps it from sagging and forming wrinkles. This results in a more plump and youthful look. Mesoestetic Collagen is naturally and sustainably sourced from marine algae.
  • Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate prevents skin from UV-B damage.
  • Tripepetide-1 is a small amino acid that can send signals between the cells in our skin. It has become quite famous as it revolutionised skincare as a whole. This is because it is not one of the traditional plant-based ingredients used in skincare for a long time. Instead, it is an innovative ingredient produced in a lab that tricks the skin into thinking that its collagen has broken down. As a result, the skin produces more collagen, which lifts and thickens the skin, giving us a healthier and fresher appearance.
  • Serine is an amino acid that helps skin retain its moisture.
