An aesthetician deeply cleanses your skin and applies the Cosmelan 1 mask. This is the first mask of the program and contains a higher concentration of active ingredients, including Hydroquinone, Azelaic Acid, Kojic Acid, Phytic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Arbutine, and Titanium Dioxide. You will be asked to leave this mud-like mask on the skin for 8-10 hours. You will not feel any discomfort while wearing the mask, but we recommend you to make sure that you do not have any social plans during this period.

After completing 8-10 hours of the treatment, you can remove the mask with plenty of lukewarm water at home. A slight redness, dryness, and tenderness are expected after you wash off the mask.

Step Three

After 48 hours of removing the Cosmelan 1 mask, you will likely experience mild to heavy peeling for 2-7 days. This can be accompanied by redness and swelling of your face. In our experience, this is usually worst between the 3rd and 5th day, and some people prefer to work from home or take 1 or 2 days off work after that.

Despite the peeling effect, it is necessary that you follow a daily depigmentation routine to inhibit melanin production. To calm and smooth the skin, the program comes with Mesoetetic Melan Recovery Cream, a Mesoestetic Fast Skin Definer and a Hydravital Mask. It is also crucial that you use Melan 130+ Pigment Control every day. It is an ultra-protective sunscreen to ensure maximum protection against the sun.

Step Four

You will be asked to visit the clinic for a review to maximize the results. This is to ensure that your skin responds well to the treatment and to make sure that we answer all your questions.
