The platelet-rich treatment does not only work well for the face but also helps to tighten the skin around your neck. The treatment also helps reduce blemishes and impurities. As with the Blood facial, a treatment of your neck requires three steps.
First, a medical professional will take a blood sample from you. After that, we will put it into a centrifuge to separate out the red cells. On top of the red blood cell remains a yellow liquid full of growth factors and platelets.
Second, we will gently re-inject the fluid with the growth factors into the skin on the neck. To do this, we use an ultra-gentle nanosoft needle.
Third, we like to combine this procedure with medical micro-needling. This will give your skin an extra boost and nourish it with more amino acids and minerals.
After the treatment, you will be offered an ultra-relaxing finish with a high-quality, cooling face mask from our DP range. So that you feel you had a nice treat rather than a medical procedure.
Results take a while to show, especially when you get this treatment for the first time. Most people notice a generalised tightening of the skin within a few days but it takes approximately 3 months for the full result to show.

Results last several months up to one or two years. That’s why many people choose to have the platelet-rich treatment once or twice per year to maintain their results. If performed by a qualified medical professional, the treatment is very safe. The injections are placed quite superficially into your skin and it is virtually impossible to cause any damage to the organs in your neck. As your own plasma is used for this procedure, it is impossible to have an allergic reaction.
It can happen that you develop some bruising or swelling at an injection site. This will usually disappear after a few days or a week. It is important that you do not drink any alcohol, and take anti-inflammatories, turmeric or fish oil within 2 days of the procedure to prevent bruising. There was an HIV scare linked to the procedure a few years ago in the US. This was because non-sterilised equipment was used. At SATINI Cosmetic Clinic, we only use one-way equipment that will be discarded after each treatment. On top of that, all equipment will be disinfected and cleaned between procedures according to the highest NZ health and safety standards.

The actual treatment usually takes about half an hour but please make sure that you arrive approximately 20 minutes before your procedure. This allows us to apply some numbing cream to your neck and make the treatment more comfortable. You are also warmly welcome to stay a little bit longer after the procedure and have a nice tea of your choice.
Most people resume their daily activities straight after the treatment. But we do recommend allowing yourself more rest periods than normal. For this reason, you may decide to have the treatment done in the evening or on your day off work.
