Valuable growth factors

The plasma of your own blood contains valuable growth factors that, once injected into your skin or around your hair follicles, helps to renew skin cells, stimulate collage production or restore hair growth for you to achieve a rejuvenating and lifting effect.

Platelet rich plasma has been used for a long time by orthopaedic and plastic surgeons, dentists and in wound care. Only recently it was introduced into the field of cosmetic medicine due to its rejuvenating properties.

We will draw a small amount of blood from your arm, a numbing cream will be applied prior to this so that you should not feel any pain.

Your doctor will place your blood sample into a centrifuge, and the plasma with its platelets and valuable growth factors that was separated from the blood cells will gently be injected into your skin with an ultra soft needle. For optimum results and at your request we can mix the plasma with a skin booster that contains many minerals, vitamins and amino acids to further enhance your result. At SATINI we combine the plasma facial with medical microneedling that will further stimulate collagen formation in your skin providing a lift and treating blemishes.

Each Facial will be finished with an ultra-relaxing, cooling face mask from our DP® skincare range containing potent and high quality ingredients.

The process is very similar to having a plasma facial. Your doctor will take some blood from you and place it into a centrifuge. The plasma with its valuable and potent growth factors will gently be injected into close proximity to your hair follicles inside the skin on your scalp.

A highly efficient numbing cream will be applied to your face or scalp approximately 20 minutes before the treatment with plasma. Most people describe the procedure as a bit uncomfortable. It should never be painful! In the rare event that you experience pain, please let us know immediately, and we will apply more numbing cream or provide you with a nasal spray for pain relief.

It usually takes 45 minutes up to one hour. Please allow for a little bit of time after the procedure for you to reapply your make up and get some rest. Most people resume their daily activities straight after the procedure but some people may decide to rest or only do gentle activities for the rest of the day. We will offer you a cup of tea after each treatment to help you recover.

It is a very safe treatment as only natural substances that stem from your own body are used. It is not uncommon to develop a tiny amount of bruising after this procedure, even though uttermost precaution will be taken to avoid this. Its is important to not drink any alcohol, stop taking fish oil, turmeric, blood thinners and ant-inflammatories for 2 days before and after the procedure.

It is important to feel rested on the day, you should not have a cold, infection or recover from a vaccination as this would affect the growth factors in your plasma.

Please make sure that you abstain from alcohol for 2 to 3 days before and after the procedure, alcohol makes your blood a bit thinner and can make you bruise more. For the same reason you should not take any anti-inflammatories, fish oil or turmeric.

Please do not apply any ice to your face after the procedure as this will impair the growth factors in your plasma and you may not achieve optimum results. Make sure you rest plenty and ideally keep your head 45 degrees elevated when you go to sleep.

If this is the first time that you have a PRP facial or PRP for male baldness we recommend that you have three treatments one month apart to achieve best results. Most clients will have six monthly or annual facials to maintain their results but you can chose how often you would like to be treated.
