Active Ingredients

Plant-based Extracts

Shikimic acid is a naturally occurring substance that is derived from the fruit and bark of certain plants, such as star anise and sweetgum. It is a type of alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that can help to exfoliate the skin gently.  AHA dissolves dead skin cells and unclogged pores. As a result, it improves your skin texture and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

In addition to its exfoliating properties, shikimic acid also has brightening benefits. It can help to reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation, resulting in a more even and radiant appearance.

Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil is sunflower seed oil. It is a non-comedogenic, lightweight, and non-greasy oil.  Sunflower seed oil is rich in vitamin E, a potent antioxidant. It also contains linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid crucial for maintaining the skin’s barrier function and preventing moisture loss.

Ferulic acid naturally occurs in various plants, including rice, wheat, and oats. It is often combined with other antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E, to enhance its effectiveness. Studies have shown that when you use ferulic acid in combination with antioxidants, it can help to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. On top of that, it helps to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and age spots and improves overall skin texture and tone.

Maslinic acid is a natural compound in the leaves and fruit of the olive tree. In skincare, it has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-ageing properties.

Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil is also known as Safflower Oil.  is a plant-based oil from the seeds of the Carthamus Tinctorius plant, which is native to regions of Asia and Africa. Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil is rich in fatty acids, including linoleic acid, oleic acid, and palmitic acid. These fatty acids help to nourish and moisturize the skin, improving its overall health and appearance. It also had anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory benefits.

Lupinus Albus Seed Extract is derived from the seeds of the Lupinus Albus plant, also known as the white lupin or field lupin. It contains various beneficial compounds, including proteins, amino acids, and vitamins. It is exceptionally high in oligopeptides, short chains of amino acids that can penetrate the skin and provide various benefits. The most important benefit is that it can stimulate collagen production. As a result, it helps to firm and tighten the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract is derived from the roots of the Astragalus Membranaceus plant, which is native to regions of Asia. It is rich in polysaccharides, saponins, and flavonoids, which are believed to provide a range of benefits for the skin. One of the main benefits of this extract is its ability to boost the skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that helps to retain moisture, giving the skin a plump and hydrated appearance. By increasing the production of hyaluronic acid, Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract can help to improve the skin’s hydration and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Spilanthes Acmella Extract is derived from the Spilanthes Acmella plant, also known as the toothache plant or buzz button plant, which is native to South America. It is rich in a compound called spilanthol, which can relax facial tension and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Spilanthol has a natural numbing effect, which can help to smooth out the skin and reduce the appearance of expression lines.

Gleditsia Triacanthos Seed Extract is also known as honey locust extract. It is derived from the seeds of the Gleditsia Triacanthos tree, which is native to North America. Gleditsia Triacanthos Seed Extract is rich in antioxidants, which help to protect the skin from environmental stressors such as pollution and UV radiation. It is also believed to have anti-inflammatory properties, making it beneficial for soothing and calming the skin and reducing redness.

Vitamins

Tocopherol (Vitamin E) is an antioxidant. It helps protect your skin from environmental factors that are known to harm the skin, breaking down the collagen that keeps your skin smooth and bouncy. The range helps lock in moisture and keep all skin types happy and hydrated – even dry skin.

Innovative Peptides

Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2 is a synthetic peptide used in skincare products for its anti-ageing properties. It is a small molecule that can mimic a small protein in our bodies called thymopoetin. This protein stimulates the growth of new skin cells and protects them from inflammation and infection. As we age, we have less thymopoetin in our skin.

Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester is another innovative peptide. It is a tiny protein linked by a fatty acid that can interact with the sensory neurons in the skin, blocking the transmission of signals that can lead to inflammation. It is also believed to have anti-aging properties. It is thought to stimulate collagen production, which can help to firm and tighten the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Hydrators and Moisturisers

Sodium Hyaluronate is a salt form of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the human body that helps to keep the skin hydrated and plump. Sodium Hyaluronate has a smaller molecular size than hyaluronic acid, which can penetrate the skin more quickly and deeply, providing intense hydration and plumping effects. It can attract and hold onto water molecules, helping to boost the skin’s moisture levels and improve its texture and elasticity.

Squalane is a natural oil commonly used in skincare products for its moisturizing and anti-ageing properties. Squalane is derived from squalene, which is a natural substance that is found in the sebum of human skin. However, squalene is unstable and can oxidize quickly, so squalane, a more stable form of squalene, is often used in skincare products instead. The skin quickly absorbs squalane and helps to improve its moisture balance, leaving it feeling soft, smooth, and hydrated.

Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer is a modified form of Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps to hydrate and plump the skin. The cross polymer form of Sodium Hyaluronate is created by chemically crosslinking Hyaluronic Acid molecules, which makes it more resistant to degradation and enables it to retain more water in the skin.

Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate is a modified form of Hyaluronic Acid that has been acetylated, which means that it has been chemically modified by adding an acetyl group to the molecule. This modification makes Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate more stable and longer-lasting than regular Hyaluronic Acid, as well as more resistant to enzymatic degradation. This means that it can provide more sustained and long-lasting hydration to the skin.

Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate is a form of Hyaluronic Acid that has been hydrolyzed or broken down into smaller molecules. This modification makes it easier for the skin to absorb and utilize, as the smaller molecules can penetrate the skin more easily.
