Key Ingredients

Octocrylene 5% (w/w) is FDA approved in concentrations up to 10%. It is an effective oil based, slightly liquid UV‐B filter. It easily dissolves crystalline UV filters and is very photo stable.

Homosalate 5% (w/w) specifically absorbs short-wave UVB rays, which are associated with DNA damage and increased risk of skin cancer.

Ethylhexyl triazone: 5% (w/w) is an organic compound used in sunscreens to absorb UVA II and UVB radiation and has the highest photo stable absorption of all available UV-B filters today. Hence, only little concentrations are required in sunscreen preparations to achieve a high Sun Protection Factor (SPF). Approved for a maximum concentration of 5%.

Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane: 4.5% (w/w) is able to absorb the full spectrum of UVA rays and has been around since the 1980’s in sunscreen formulations worldwide. It does not provide protection against UVB rays.

Polysilicone-15: 2% (w/w) is a silicone based UVB absorber.

Zingiber officinale Root Extract  is derived from ginger and contains the biologically active component called gingerol that has potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties soothing the skin and improving redness.
