Improve dull looking and saggy skin with at home chemical peels
Chemical Peels are a simple and very popular at home treatment. They can be very effective at improving dull skin and dark spots and make your skin look radiant and fresh again. So that your skin can retain its beautiful, natural glow.
What are chemical peels?
Chemical Peels are actually fruit acids that can be derived from many different fruits such as grapes or sugar cane. They are designed to slough off dead skin cells that make skin look dull and dry. As a result, your skin reveals fresher, healthier and better-looking skin cells underneath. Your skin will become radiant again and give you that youthful, attractive glow.
Which skin concerns can I address?
Home peels can treat a myriad of skin concerns such as:
- Mild sun damage
- Fine lines
- Blackheads and whiteheads
- Excessive oil
- Uneven skin texture
Can I use a peel safely at home?
At home peels contain the same ingredients as an in clinic peel but in far lower concentrations. This makes sure that the peel is gentle enough to not cause any redness or irritation.
To make it easier for you to choose the right product, we have listed our chemical peels according to strength. Generally, the stronger the peel is, the more effective it will be but this also means that it can cause more irritation and redness.
In summary, you can safely use mild peels on a daily basis whereas we would only recommend to use a stronger peel three to four times per year for approximately 4 weeks.
Can I use it together with other skincare products?
Yes. You can safely use it together with your other serums. Most people find that they can use a peel together with a retinol but sometimes this combination can make you more prone to developing red or dry skin. If this was the case, we would recommend you to stop using the retinol for as long as you are applying the peel.
And, please remember, always apply a soft moisturiser and sunscreen after your peel.
Should you develop any redness or irritation, please stop using your peel and give us a call or book a consultation. We will be able to give you expert advice on what to do next.
At home peels are usually milder and less concentrated than the in clinic peels.
