Like most dermal fillers, the Teoxane® filler line also contains hyaluronic acid (HA). This is a naturally occurring sugar substance that can be found inside your skin. However, Teoxane®  dermal fillers have taken this one step further! They use a highly advanced form of hyaluronic acid which was designed to almost identically match the mimic of your face. Because of this, Teoxane® dermal filler can move and stretch easily when you move your face. This gives people a much more natural look compared to other products.

Cheeks: We can correct hollow looking cheeks or enhance cheeks with dermal filler.  This gives you cheeks volume and makes them look more beautiful. When we lift your cheeks, we also provide lifting effect to the lower part of your face. As a result, this smooths the nasolabial fold (the line between the nose and lip). Most people require 1 to 3 mls of dermal filler.

Chin: We usually treat the chin to add definition to the lower third of the face. This helps us to restore harmony to your face as a whole. Chin enhancements are popular for all age groups and both genders. Most men desire a broad and square chin that enhances their masculine features. In contrast to that, women prefer a smaller, rounder chin that blends in nicely with the whole face. In most cases, we require 0.5 ml up to 1 ml dermal filler for this procedure.

Jawline: Treatment with dermal filler in that area softens jowls and helps to improve double chins. This subtle change to the lower face restores your overall facial harmony. In addition it will make the jawline look more defined. Treatments are popular with men and women alike. Mostly, 1 to 2 ml of filler are required.

Lips: Beautiful lips are a symbol of sensuality, health and youth. Both men and women see them as a sexual attractive. Dermal fillers enhance lips and make them look fuller. We aim to provide natural and subtle results. On top of that we make sure that you do not look overfilled or out of proportion. Usually, 1.2 ml or less are required for a lip enhancement.

Forehead: We use only small amounts of a soft filler for the forehead. For best results, we sometimes combine this with Microbotox.

In most cases, people describe that a filler treatment feels slightly uncomfortable. At the same time, it is generally less painful than going to the dentist! Our Teoxane filler contains a small amount of local anesthetic. This usually makes the procedure much more comfortable.

But nevertheless, in the rare event that you feel pain, please let us know straight away. This allows us to stop the procedure and discuss other options for pain relief with you.  If you find that you easily get pain, we would recommend you to take paracetamol before the treatment. Please do not take ibuprofen as this will make your bruise easily.

We take every precaution to avoid bruising. It is important that you do not take any anti-inflammatories, fish oil, evening primrose oil or turmeric supplements one day before the procedure. And you should also not drink any alcohol before and after the procedure.

We prefer to assess your face thoroughly and give you some cool-down after your initial appointment. This is so you can feel absolutely sure that you would like to proceed with the treatment. But, we also understand that many people live their lives in the busy lane. So, whereas we prefer that you come back for your actual treatment, we do accept your personal choice and treat you on the same day. But please keep in mind that if we have reservations, we may ask you to still take sone cool-down time.

It is very important that dermal fillers are injected by a health professional with qualifications in Aesthetic Medicine and an in depth knowledge of facial anatomy.

A paper published in 2016 in the journal JAMA of Plastic Surgery concluded that the most common complications are minor swelling, bruising and infection. In most cases, we can easily treat this and it will usually resolve. It is not very likely to get complications. You are looking at approximately 0.01 to 0.0001 per cent.

Serious complications are very rare. One of those serious complications is blindness. We, therefore, recommend that you get dermal filler from a medical professional.  Ideally, this should be a doctor or a nurse who works very closely together with a doctor.

For your safety, we have established detailed and up-to-date guidelines and protocols for any complications. We also keep all necessary emergency drugs in our clinic. This would allow us to initiate the appropriate treatment promptly and efficiently. But hopefully, it will never come to this as we take all precautions to avoid complications.
