Key Ingredients
Peptide Technology
Hexapeptide 11 stimulates certain genes in your body that are responsible for collagen and hyaluronic acid production. Collagen is an important building block of skin and makes skin firm and lifted. Hyaluronic acid is a moisturiser. Hexapeptide 11 also competes with a receptor in your hair. This receptor attracts harmful testosterone that causes hair thinning and hair loss. When hexapeptide binds to the receptor, it pushes the harmful testosterone out of the way. As a result, hair becomes thicker and healthier.
Biotinoyl tripeptide-1 (Biotinyl-GHK) lessens the production of DHT (dihydrotestosterone). DHT is the primary contributing factor in male pattern baldness. As a result, it increases hair growth. On top of that, the ingredient stimulates genes that strengthen hair. It increases the amount of baby hair you have, and this will eventually form healthy, shiny hair.
Hydrolyzed Soy Protein was found in studies to not only improve the natural color of hair, but also the rate of hair growth, the dimensions of the hair follicle and hair shaft. This greatly improves the appearance of hair.
Caffeine, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) and Panthenol (Vitamin B5) are powerful, active ingredients that restore hair. A mix of these ingredients was applied to the scalp in healthy volunteers. After a few weeks the hair of these volunteers was thicker and more supple. As a results, hair became more resistant to breakage forces.
Amino Acids
Arginine is an important amino acid for the formation of keratin, the building block of hair. One study found that arginine protects hair damage from hair dye. Arginine increases Nitrogen Oxide levels around hair follicles. Nitrogen Oxide is a powerful dilator of blood vessels and thus increases blood flow to the hair follicle. As a result, the hair follicle is supplied with more nutrients, and this makes hair stronger and healthier.
Vitamins
Ascorbyl Glucoside is a water soluble form of Vitamin C. No studies to date have shown that it improves hair loss as such. But we do know that skin and hair have very high contents of vitamin C. This makes it very likely that vitamin C is an important nutrient for hair as well as skin. As we age, we become more and more depleted of vitamin C. That’s why it is important ton substitute our skin with this important antioxidant and nutrient.
Plant Extracts
Achillea millefolium Extract is derived from the yarrow plant that is native to the dry, disturbed soils of prairies and meadows in the northern hemisphere. A randomised double blind controlled study showed that a herbal formulation containing yarrow extract reduces and prevents hair loss.
Cinchona succirubra Bark Extract and Tussilago farfara Leaf Extract is a water soluble botanical complex registered as Tricorexina Hydro® complex supplied by Res Pharma Industriale based in Italy. Its naturally sourced ingredients work synergistically to improve hair loss and hair quality.
Pyrus malus Fruit Extract is derived from apple and has got an acidic pH. It works like a mild peel promoting cell
renewal on the scalp which helps to clear the follicles of excessive build up of dead cells, allowing more room for thicker hair growth.
Hydrolyzed Soy Protein was found in studies to not only improve the natural colour of hair, but also the rate of hair growth, the dimensions of the hair follicle and hair shaft. This greatly improves the appearance of the hair.
Minerals
Zinc is important for healthy hair and nails. When someone has got very low levels of zinc in their blood, they start to loose hair and get skin rashes. But when their zinc levels become normal again, they regrow hair. For that reason, many hair products contain zinc.
