The success rates of our treatments

All our clients are offered a one-hour free initial consultation to discuss their personal concerns, treatment options, possible complications and risks. During this appointment, we also explain how long each treatment will last. After that, we email or post a detailed treatment plan to you or, if you
prefer, offer you a 15-minute follow-up appointment to discuss this plan with you. This treatment plan details your concerns, the results of your physical examination, suggested treatment options and pricing.

Before you have any procedure at Satini Cosmetic Clinic, we will take time to explain the process to you, and you will be asked to sign a detailed consent form. After any procedure, we email you detailed aftercare instructions, and you will always be offered a free follow-up consultation after two weeks.

Dr Nadja Haub also answers the clinic phone at 0800-121-622 at all times, outside clinic hours. If you have any urgent queries or concerns, please make sure that you contact her immediately.

We do not offer any refunds for:

Bruising and swelling after a procedure:

Please beware that bruising and swelling after PDO thread insertion or dermal filler are common, and even the most experienced injector will cause bruising despite the best precautions. You must follow our detailed aftercare instructions meticulously to avoid swelling and bruising after a procedure.

Duration of treatment results:

If the treatment has worn off earlier than expected. Many factors, such as your metabolism, your aftercare, the size of a muscle facial movements etc. can influence the duration of your treatment outcome. We do not guarantee the treatment outcome and time of any treatment but provide you with estimates that work for most people based on scientific studies. These numbers are for your guidance only and can vary significantly from case to case.

Cold Sores:

We ask all our clients who request lip filler if they had cold sores in the past. If this is the case, we will commence 500 mg aciclovir BD, four doses in total. We also offer you ASAP lipsticks which contain Alpine Rose extract that further helps to prevent cold sores. If you develop a cold sore after lip filler despite
these precautions, we do not provide a refund.

The treatment does not meet your expectations:

Most of our treatments provide high customer satisfaction, and 90 to 95% of customers are happy with their results. Nevertheless, this also means that for 5- 10% of customers, the treatment result may not meet their exact expectations or work well. We inform you of the expected customer satisfaction rates during the initial consultation based on scientific studies.

Pain:

We try our best to make the procedure as painless as possible. Sometimes, people are more sensitive to pain compared to others. We will try our best to reduce pain and discomfort during any procedure. We will not provide you with a refund if you feel that the procedure was more painful than expected.

When you are eligible for a refund:

We provide you with free follow-up treatment and a refund in the very unlikely event that you have a complication after treatment.

These include:

Severe swelling

Severe swelling after dermal filler that requires hyaluronidase injections. The injection costs typically 600 NZD, and we will not charge for that.

Vascular occlusions

Vascular occlusions after dermal filler that require hyaluronidase injections.

Allergic reactions

Allergic reactions after any treatment at Satini Cosmetic Clinic. We will provide free emergency treatment, prescriptions and follow-up appointments as required.

Infections

We take utmost precautions to prevent infections and provide high safety and hygiene standards. In the unlikely event that you get an infection, we will provide free treatment to you as required.

Cold sores

Should you get a cold sore despite prophylaxis with aciclovir tablets, we will continue treatment and follow-up as required.

Granulomas

Granulomas are lump formations after treatment and can happen due to autoimmune problems, gradual and late-onset infections or problems with the product. We will initiate appropriate treatment or dissolve them as required.

Other reasons for a refund

If, for any reason, you feel that you are eligible for a refund, we will ask you to write an email or letter to us outlining your concerns and your reasons why you qualify for a refund. We will also offer you a 15-minute appointment at Satini Cosmetic Clinic, so that we can take photos after your treatment.

We will then review your concerns and photos as a team. Suppose we can validate your concerns and think that you raised your concerns fairly and honestly than in sporadic cases and only at the discretion of our staff. In that case, we may offer you a free treatment to compensate for your grievances. We will not provide a refund.
