Doctor-performed cheek filler · Ferrymead, Christchurch
Support where it matters.
Softness where it counts.
Restore selected mid-face support or gently refine cheek contour with a plan designed around your anatomy and facial movement.
Cheeks are not treated in isolation. Your doctor considers the under-eye area, temples, folds, jawline and profile before recommending whether filler is likely to help.
Includes a 3D facial assessment. The $99 consultation fee is refunded if you have an eligible in-clinic treatment at Satini. Terms apply. Not a treatment result

Cheek filler at Satini
Cheek structure, assessed as part of the whole face.
Age-related changes can affect bone, fat pads, ligaments and skin. Filler cannot reverse every part of that process, but carefully selected placement may restore support or contour where volume is an important contributor.
Some people want to replace volume that has reduced over time; others want a modest enhancement of cheek shape. Satini’s aim is not to create identical cheeks or a fashionable silhouette. It is to make a restrained plan that suits your face.

The Satini approach
Start with the concern.
Then choose the treatment.
Support
Restore selected mid-face volume where structural change contributes to hollowing or tiredness.
Contour
Refine cheek shape without making the face appear heavy, rigid or unfamiliar.
Connect
Consider how the cheeks relate to the under-eye area, profile, folds and jawline.
Suitability matters
Could this be
right for you?
These points are a guide, not a diagnosis. Medical suitability and expected benefit require an individual consultation.
May be worth discussing
- There is selected loss of cheek or mid-face volume
- You want modest contour rather than dramatic projection
- Your skin and underlying structure are suitable for filler
- You accept that more severe laxity may need another approach
Another approach may fit better
- Skin quality rather than volume is the main concern
- Significant laxity is unlikely to respond well to filler alone
- The under-eye area is the primary concern and needs separate assessment
- Adding volume would make the face feel heavier

Cheek filler
safety.
Common temporary effects include swelling, tenderness, redness and bruising. Other possible complications include infection, persistent lumps, asymmetry and inflammatory reactions. Rare vascular complications can cause tissue injury or visual disturbance and need urgent assessment.
Seek urgent advice: unusual or increasing pain, pale or mottled skin, significant colour change or visual symptoms require immediate attention.
Cheek-filler FAQs
Questions are
always welcome.
If your question depends on your anatomy, health history or previous treatment, a doctor consultation is the safest place to answer it.
Ask a doctor ↗01Will cheek filler look natural?+
That is the aim of Satini’s conservative approach. A natural-looking result depends on your starting anatomy, product, placement and the amount used.
02How much cheek filler will I need?+
There is no standard amount. Your doctor will assess both cheeks, the under-eye area, profile and overall facial balance before recommending the smallest reasonable plan.
03Can cheek filler help me look less tired?+
In selected people, restoring mid-face support may soften a hollow or tired appearance. The cause of the concern must be assessed first, and cheek filler will not suit everyone.
04Can cheek filler improve under-eye hollows?+
Cheek support can improve the transition below the eyes for some people. Direct tear-trough treatment has separate suitability and risk considerations and may not be recommended.
05Will cheek filler lift my lower face?+
Cheek support may subtly change nearby areas in some people, but it is not a surgical lift and cannot reliably correct every fold, jowl or area of skin laxity.
06How long does cheek filler last?+
Cheek filler often lasts around 12–18 months, although duration varies with the product, amount, placement, metabolism and lifestyle.
07What downtime should I expect?+
Temporary swelling, tenderness, redness and bruising can occur. Many people continue normal activities, but allow enough settling time before an important event.
08Can cheek filler be dissolved?+
Hyaluronic-acid filler can usually be reduced with hyaluronidase. Dissolving is also a medical procedure with limitations and risks.
09Who should not have cheek filler?+
Treatment may need to be postponed or avoided during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection or inflammation, significant bleeding risk, known hypersensitivity, some medical conditions or unsuitable anatomy.
10What symptoms need urgent attention?+
Contact Satini urgently for unusual or increasing pain, pale or mottled skin, significant colour change or other unexpected symptoms. Visual disturbance is an emergency and requires immediate medical attention.
