Doctor-performed jaw filler in Christchurch
Jaw Filler
Christchurch
Create a more defined, balanced jawline with a personalised treatment plan designed and performed by Dr Nadja Haub at Satini Cosmetic Clinic in Ferrymead.
Before & after
Lower-face definition
A jawline that fits your face.
Jaw filler is a non-surgical treatment that uses carefully placed dermal filler to add structure along the lower face. It may help define a soft jawline, improve the transition between the jaw and neck, support the chin and soften the appearance of early jowling.
The aim is not to create the same jaw on every person. Dr Nadja considers your facial proportions, profile, chin projection, skin quality and natural movement before recommending whether jaw filler is suitable—and how much product may be appropriate.

Structure, proportion and definition.
A personalised treatment may focus on one area or balance several connected features.
Define the jawline
Add subtle structure along the mandibular border to create a clearer transition between the lower face and neck.
Balance the profile
Coordinate jawline treatment with chin proportions where appropriate, helping the lower face feel more harmonious from the front and side.
Soften early jowling
Strategic support may reduce shadowing around early jowls, although filler cannot replace surgery or treat significant skin laxity.
The amount of filler and expected change depend on your anatomy, starting point and goals. Treatment is recommended only after an in-person medical assessment.
Your Satini appointment
Thoughtful planning before treatment.
A strong result begins with facial assessment—not a standard number of syringes.
Arrange your consultationConsultation and assessment
Dr Nadja listens to your goals, reviews your medical history and assesses your face from several angles. She explains suitable options, limitations, risks and likely product requirements.
Your tailored treatment plan
Injection points are selected to suit your anatomy. The jawline may be treated alone or considered alongside the chin and surrounding lower-face structures.
Precise treatment
Dermal filler is placed in small amounts using an approach chosen for the treatment area. Comfort measures and aftercare are discussed with you.
Review and refinement
Initial definition is usually visible immediately, while swelling and tenderness settle over time. A review can assess the result once the area has settled.

Safety and suitability
Jaw filler is a medical procedure.
Temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness, redness, firmness and asymmetry can occur after treatment. Less common complications include infection, nodules and delayed inflammatory reactions.
Treatment may need to be postponed or may not be suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin or dental infection, are unwell, have certain allergies or medical conditions, or take medicines that affect bleeding. Dr Nadja will assess this with you.

Frequently asked questions
Jaw filler, explained.
Your consultation is the best place to receive advice based on your anatomy and medical history.
01What can jaw filler change?
Jaw filler can add definition along the jaw, improve lower-face proportions, support the chin where appropriate and soften the appearance of early jowling. It cannot remove significant loose skin or reproduce surgical results.
02How much jaw filler will I need?
There is no standard amount. Product requirements depend on your anatomy, the strength of your existing jawline, the degree of change requested and whether the chin also needs balancing. Dr Nadja will discuss this after assessing you in person.
03When will I see the result?
Jawline definition is generally visible immediately, but swelling can temporarily alter the shape. The area needs time to settle before the final result is assessed.
04How long does jaw filler last?
Jaw filler is temporary. Longevity varies with the product used, amount placed, your metabolism, facial movement and other individual factors. Your treatment plan will include realistic guidance for you.
05Is there downtime?
Many people return to ordinary activities soon after treatment, but swelling, tenderness or bruising may be noticeable. Plan around important events and follow the personalised aftercare advice provided by the clinic.
06Can jaw filler help a double chin?
Filler may improve the visual transition between the jaw and neck in selected people, but it does not remove fat. Dr Nadja can explain whether filler, another treatment or no treatment is the most appropriate option.
07How much does jaw filler cost?
Cost depends on the amount of dermal filler required. Satini publishes its current dermal filler prices online, and your personalised quote is confirmed during consultation.
